With nearly 50 wineries and conveniently located to the Washington D.C. area, Loudoun County is a premiere destination for wine lovers. Loudoun Wineries Association members are committed to coming together as a community to support the growth of the industry without compromising quality. Our members' award-winning wines have earned high-honors in some of the most prestigious international competitions as well as the Virginia Governor's Cup.
OUR MISSION
The Loudoun Wineries & Winegrowers Association (LWWA) advances the success of Loudoun County’s wine industry by supporting vineyards and wineries through advocacy, education, collaboration, and strategic marketing while promoting agriculture, sustainability, and responsible growth.
Our Members
LWWA members include Loudoun County wineries and independent winegrowers who are committed to protecting the region’s agricultural foundation, producing high-quality wines, and growing the industry responsibly.
Associate Members include organizations and partners who support Loudoun’s wine community through services, collaboration, and shared initiatives. Associate Members are invited to meetings, networking opportunities, and select industry events.
Together, our members represent the heart of Loudoun’s wine identity and contribute to the region’s recognition across Virginia and beyond.
OUR IMPACT
The LWWA works in the following areas with an emphasis on how they affect and influence the Loudoun County wine industry:
Legislative (Local, State, Federal)
Marketing of Loudoun County wine through consumer-facing initiatives including Uncork Loudoun
Trade & Industry Growth Initiatives that expand placements and visibility across restaurants, retailers, and hospitality partners
Education for winegrowers, winery teams, and industry professionals
Partnerships with tourism, economic development, and community stakeholders
Cooperative Opportunities that support member success and shared promotion
Camaraderie and Collaboration amongst Loudoun wineries & winegrowers
Integration with other Rural Economy sectors in Loudoun, including agritourism and local business

Our Objectives
The Loudoun Wineries & Winegrowers Association exists to strengthen the long-term success of Loudoun County wine. We achieve this by:
Elevate the Loudoun County wine brand locally and regionally through unified storytelling, visibility, and member promotion
Support Loudoun wineries and independent winegrowers while protecting agriculture and responsible rural growth
Expand consumer engagement through signature initiatives like the Annual Barrel Tasting & Loudoun Wine Awards plus seasonal campaigns that increase visitation and awareness
Strengthen trade relationships and market presence by increasing restaurant-by-the-glass placements, retail presence, and featured programs
Provide education and professional development across vineyard practices, wine knowledge, sales strategy, and tasting room excellence
Celebrate our industry and showcase Loudoun’s award-winning wines, vineyards, and people behind them
Give back to our community through our Harvest Kindness initiative and charitable partnerships
